Pusat KOMAS wishes the best of luck to the candidates of upcoming Tanjung Piai by-election.

Pusat KOMAS strictly reminds the contending parties in Tanjung Piai by-election to refrain from using race and religion as their political tool in galvanising the support of masses.

We hope the candidates and party leaders will be mindful of the rising divisive elements in our multi-ethnic society, thus, exemplifying qualities of matured politics would be significantly healthy to Malaysia.

Hereby, we express our utmost aspiration towards an inclusive and harmonious society led by leaders who respects all fractions of faiths and culture in building our nation forward.

Pusat KOMAS is hopeful that the battle would set a good precedence in promoting politics that consciously distance itself from menial yet divisive tactics of race and religion.

We also would like to urge the Election Commission of Malaysia to ensure that race or religious baiting is strictly prohibited and should be made an election offense.
