Coalition of Malaysian NGOs in the UPR Process (COMANGO)

The Coalition of Malaysian NGOs in the UPR Process (COMANGO) produces stakeholder reports which are used as references when Malaysia’s human rights situation is reviewed during her UPR cycles, once every 4 to 5 years. COMANGO also prepares mid-term reports between cycles to keep tabs on the government’s implementation of recommendations that are given to Malaysia during her review. Below are the reports produced while Pusat KOMAS held a co-secretariat role in the coalition.

The mid-term report by the Coalition of Malaysian NGOs in the UPR Process (COMANGO) assesses the progress of the implementation of Universal Periodic Review (UPR) recommendations that were received by Malaysia in 2018 during the country’s 3rd UPR cycle.

17 Months of Perikatan Nasional

Tan Sri Mahiaddin’s departure as the 8th Prime Minister of Malaysia left a void in governance as the Perikatan Nasional government leadership came to an end after 17 months in power. This follow-up report (from the previous 100 Days of PN) is a compilation from the different clusters of the CSO Platform For Reform on the reforms made by Perikatan Nasional as well as its shortcomings during its tenure.

The Pakatan Harapan’s 22 Months and Perikatan National’s First 100 Days Report is based on a collective compilation of reports on various themes against the reforms that emerged from the last 14th General Election. This report looks at the tenure of PH’s government achievements and short comings; and the first 100 days of PN’s government that was formed after the infamous ‘Langkah Sheraton’ event.
