We are pleased to announce the “3rd National Conference: Malaysia on the Path to Non Discrimination, Is Equality for All? “ as a follow up from the last 2 years. Similar to the previous conferences, this national conference will bring together people from different sectors including the government agencies to discuss and critically analyze different issues on non-discrimination.

This year, KOMAS together with Institute of Ethnic Studies, University Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM-KITA) is organizing the conference with a theme focusing on minority issues.
The objective of the public national conference would be to :

1) To provide an overview of the current state of minority communities in Malaysia.
2) To affirm and appreciate the best practice models on minority rights that exist in the world and that may be replicated locally
3) To give voice to the marginalized communities in Malaysia.

We are pleased to announce that the UN Independent Expert on Minority Rights, Ms. Rita Izsak will be attending the conference and she will be delivering a keynote speech during the conference. There will be three different panels discussing three different topics during the conference.
